The two-day training of Energy Performance Indicators (EnPI) was held for the experts of Iranian Fuel Conservation Organization (IFCO) in collaboration with UNIDO on 5 March 2017.
This training was aimed at introducing the Energy Performance Indicators (EnPI), methodology of indicators, improvement of goal setting as well as implementation of Energy Performance Indicators (EnPI) by the specified tools.
Fourteen experts from different sectors of Iranian Fuel Conservation Organization (IFCO) including industry, construction and R&D participated in this training.
International consultants of UNIDO, William Mc Laughlin and Luis Marques Almanza while mentioning on the various methods of presenting Energy Performance and training on the available tools for analyzing energy data, compared the different indicators based on the energy intensity and statistical techniques.
“In statistical techniques, the suitable performance indicators are identified basis on variants affecting energy consumption. Also, by the aim of such analyzing methods, the raw data are turned into the suitable information in which energy performance can be measured and based on the goal setting methods, the related data for the next period are predicted”, Mc Laughlin said.
The national coordinator of IEE project in UNIDO, Nasim Shekari said that the aim of UNIDO for holding such trainings in the related organizations like IFCO is to include new approaches for analyzing energy performance while establishing energy standards.
The training on Energy Management System (EnMS) and Energy Performance Indicators (EnPI) was held over the last year at IFCO and this training was aimed to complete the previous course with a practical and specialized approach.
